Our children decided to start gardening as part of their activities. They decided to tend the old garden patches and created a new one as well near the convent. They did a wonderful job cleaning the spaces to create these gardens.
The lifting, digging, bending and reaching they did while working in the garden was another way of getting the children to get active. They had so much fun. It was also important for us to help teach our children where food comes from and most importantly for them to enjoy to eat what they grow when harvesting comes.
Various fruits and vegetables such as carrots, beetroot, strawberries, spinach, potatoes and onion were planted. We are looking forward to harvesting.
